Well what I ment was:
Just because you are a soldier doesn't mean that "your death for your country" is something to honor always. And what I mean is that those SS soldiers who "died for the Reich" aren't honorable.
The 6th army that where captured and died in the Stalingrad pocket aren't what I ment, since these guys where normal Wermacht soldiers, these are heroes!. On the other hand, those soldiers from SS that did get caught in the pocket, I don't feel any sorry for them at all!
And what Draven wrote was that all sodiers who died for their country are heros and should be respected. And all I'm saying is that not everybody deserves to be respected, among them the SS.
SS was a voulenteer organisation. Noone was forced into the SS, every single one of those fighting with the SS rune on their neck had joined by their own free will - their free will to join a criminal organisation. An organisation that didn't make it a secret that they supported their Führer to 100%.
And of course are those men from Canada, USA, Germany or whatever heros, no doubt, but there IS a difference between a soldier and a soldier
Thats what I ment Packet
