The extra armor is actually really helpful in a couple different ways. A crypt lord is more effective against an orc than any other race. This is true in the fact that nades take more armor away than health. So if you get extra armor from the previous round and get hit with an orc nade, you will probably survive it. Along with that, you'll reflect a large amount of damage back.
Locust is good for any fight. If you're a suriving player, you can use your ultimate early in the round and later on when there are only a few players left. This will greatly increase your odds of winning.
