upgrade?
ok well... i am eventually going to replace my whole computer but i am going to do it a bit at a time until i get a new processor and motherboard...
i would like one of those fancy 8800 gts 512's
however i dont know if i can even do it with my current setup....
i am running an old nvidia motherboard with 1 PCIe 16x slot (yeah yeah yeah stfu) with an old amd 64 3200 running at 2.0 GHz
and an old power supply to boot... i dont know what power it is rated to and would like to find out if you all can tell me how.
i dont know if my power supply can handle the added power that the beast card would request. i think (not sure but it is definately possible) that baby was dying under the power requests of the old 6600 back when i had that card... but i upgraded to the 7600 gs and havent had that problem....
regardless i think i may also need a new power supply....
do you think i can do it to my current system... or should i just wait till i replace the bitch (which could be a while)
