Kicked from TeamSpeak Server

Hi there,

I downloaded the TOD Mod some hours ago, so I'm pretty new to ninjaserve. When I noticed that all you guys were using TS, I decided to download and set up TS and enter your channels. I had no problems doing that, but when I started the game, both TS and BF:V crashed. Last thing I noticed was someone (most probably the admin) calling my name. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to react on that and the next time I tried to get into the channels I was informed that I was IP banned. So could you please remove the ban and furthermore refer me to your list of conditions for getting banned from your Game- and TS-servers (as I don't want that to happen again)?

Thumbs up How to set PTT button in TS.

Chill out Bonez. Listen up Bomilkar. Set your Ts to use PTT (Push-to-talk) button.

Here's how if you don't know.

1. Bring up Teamspeak.
2. Click Settings -> Sound Input/Output Settings
3. In Sound Settings window, click Push to talk option
4. Click Set button
5. Press a key that you want to use as your PTT button

Next time you get online, push the key to talk. Now you won't have people upset at you for inadvertently transmitting.

One more note, TS is for commo of game-related information. It's not there for you to talk about your dinner or your band practice or to gloat about every kill you get. You'll find yourself banned if you do. Bottom line, convey the information to your team. Then stop transmitting.

understand that we often get idiots that will purposely crack their mic open just to annoy others on TS. since this happens often, admins will quickly kick anyone from TS for doing this.

some quick tips for u until the admin comes by:
setup and test TS by using the local test mode before connecting to the server(we use 16.3 Speex codec).
don't use voice activation.
your TS name must be exactly the same as your in-game name.

EDIT: that admin doesn't often come by the forums, so i've unbanned you. if you follow the tips by me and Crotch, i think you'll find that TS is a great compliment to multiplayer gaming. have another go at it

Thank you for removing the ban. After writing my initial post, I took another look at my TS setting (thinking that, perphaps, my wave recording level was to high), saw that I had switched on "Voice Activation" and the reason for banning me became clear. Funny thing is, I was even thinking that I was using "push to speak" mode when entering your channels. But I must have switched modes while testing my in/output. :o

Cya in the game!
