earlier this morning I was playing on the eod server, map badmoonrising. yesterday and the day before on these maps, i'd noticed people on the allies' bridge using a bug that i won't explain here (will pm if you like). anyway, i chilled there for a while, got a few kills. several players were yelling at me to get out of the spot, but i wasn't getting any admin messages so i figured it was fair game, as i'd seen people doing it prior to me. time passed, i racked up more kills, and then i got kicked/banned. this is my first time on the website or forums, so i don't know who the admins are by name in the game. since i didn't see the yellow text, i figured all was kosher. i think one of the HR guys was in there asking me to get out, but like i said, no yellow text. after i got kicked, i told my friend (Deadpool) to get in there and show the admin that had kicked me, so he could see the exploit. i told him not to kill anyone and just chill there, and that's exactly what he did- he just laid there, with his knife out actually, while some people (possibly an admin) tried to kill him. without firing a single shot from the spot, he was kicked/banned too, when he was just trying to show the admin the bug so he could watch for it next time and maybe put a random message up warning against using the exploit. so now, we're both banned for an unknown amount of time.

i know my actions were retarded..... when people started yelling i should have stopped killing myself and asked if an admin was around to show him the spot.... and i definitely shouldn't have told my buddy to hop in there right after me, hostile or no.

bottom line is, we're both very sorry about the whole ordeal... we certainly won't be using the bug any more and would also be willing to show the bug to the admins so they can take proper precautions (like i said, a message for the map would probably do the trick- making sure players know that if they use it they'll get banned. also, if the admins know any of the developers of the mod, they could pass it on to the map maker so he could fix it.

thanks for hearing me out, and thanks bunches for the server it's good to know i can always (hopefully, now, lol) rely on ninjaserve to be packed with people playin one of my fav mods.

EoD Server rules and settings:

-Get all flags/objectives before attacking enemy uncappable spawns. This includes aircraft. Anyone caught in the enemies red circle before capturing ALL flags or objectives is subject to being kicked or banned at an admins discretion.
-NO tking whatsoever. That includes retaliatory tks. Admins are not going to try and judge if your tk was justified. If they see you tk, expect to kicked or banned.

yeah, i read that whilst browsing around after signing. i would assume that would be the case now that i think about it, and if i gotta be banned forever, i deserve it. it's right there in writing, after all.

We know of the exploit you are talking about. Its been there for a long time.. surely you wouldn't have thought that you were the first one to find it and that an admin would not know about it??

I've been playing this mod since its inception way back when. There are many things within' it that are exploits and game bugs... they are just there.

Just because one player is doing it, doesn't make it right. It may be at the time, there was no admin. on the server to observe the other person's behaviour. Anyone with some common sense should know that if you get into a spot that allows you to fire out of and kill others, without taking any damage from them firing at you.. then it has to be a no-no...

You have me to thank for your vacation from the server. I was the one that actually Banned you from the server. I did not ban your partner.. therefore, I cannot say how long he has been banned. That was up to the discretion of the admin. who actually banned him.

Let us talk about your friend. I told him SEVERAL times to get out he told me "You need the password for the funhouse or something".

I think I've banned you and your friend for one month.
I don't kick people for nothing so try to respect the rules next time.

you guys are lucky it was m0nes who saw you, not me. i would have banned you forever. in my experience, people who use exploits will do so again.

My mistake, I banned "The Bob" for doing the same thing on that map yesterday as well. I think it must have been in round 1..
