not a Gripe or complaint, just a question.

The Ek clan is a mechwarrior clan, and some of our members have started playing BF and EOD with me.. thier new.. and welll lacking in some of the gameplay Ettique that is being requested on the ninjaserver...yet.. thier working on those.
Just wondering how long the Bans are on those [EK] folks who got baned on April 1st, on the EOD server. [ek]_pend and [ek]_caliburn are thier names.

MechWarrior Eh? An old game of mine myself.. REB_Knife_XO.. maybe you have heard of Rahn's Rebels - REB??? They play P2K, although, I myself never did. I played in the Vengence league and War!Online. Played War!Online with the 88th MM, but that was long ago....another time. I have not played MW for months now. Got burned out right after Mek-Tek put out the new mech packs.

As for bans, I did not do the banning of your fellow teammates. Usually the server admin. who did so should and will reply to your request. However, it typically is for 24 hours. Sometimes, it can be for up to a week. Just depends on the mood of the admin. and the severity of the "crime". I am probably one of the more easy admins. You REALLY gotta piss me off for me to become a server NAZI and give out a long term ban. Mine are mostly for 1 hour or 24 hours.

It was I, and you might try talking to Packettloss, reason is I've taken the Packettloss view of bans, just make them permanent as most of the time they come back and are simply worse. I completely understand the lack of knowing what is going on and the rules, especially if you are completely new to the game/genre/style of maps and how they are played. Reason alot of us Permaban now is simply due to the idiots out there that have been flooding the server as of late (yesterday or day before Trahn literally spent 4 hours just admining and zero time playing if that's any indication).

Now I will say I had banned 3 people prior to your clanmate that was banned for the exact same thing and made a point of repeatedly warning in chat to everyone on the server. Again though, new game, new style of play and trying to keep abreast of everything that is going on can cause problems and mistakes happen.

Personally Packett I see no problem with unbanning the individual. I have to admit after the ban the clan lead or mate or whomever on the server didn't gripe, complain or anything. Just politely asked where to come to discuss the issue. I'd chalk it up to accident, ignorance, and being a new player (and I mean no insult by the ignorance line, we are all ignorant when we first start, I would be ignorant of Mechwarrior and it's "ettiquitte" rules if I played it). BUt after talking to these guys a bit, they aren't idiots or out to ruin the game for anyone, just an honest, simple mistake.

Just a help tip. Have your clan mates watch the messages that during the game. Often, the admins will give 1 or more warnings to them directly to stop whatever they're doing that is in violation of server rules before kicking/banning them. I was also on last nite and watched Meltdown issued multiple warnings to these guys before banning them.

With that said, I appreciate your decent attitude regarding this matter and hope that all is resolved satisfactorily.

Ya well being adult is about the only requirement for joining Excalibur's Knights, If your friently, and into Meching, and generally hanging out, (and manage not too shoot yourself in the foot) we generally welcome people to join, so ya, we try to do things right when issues come up.
Im not the Clan Head, That would be excalibur, Im only 2nd Echelon Calvey division. But I am the nut who got them all hooked on BF1942 8)
I think a big part of the communication issues, is that we have our own voice comm server, Smoking fast, and all comms traffic tend to go over that, and in game it becomes rectile, ammo level, and the target. Partly the reason i think it all happened.
