Nvidia 6600 GT AGP review

If anyone's been holding out for a new card, this one looks to be a good budget card. Here's a review:

From what I understand it smokes a 9800 pro.

I'm sure that's a great card, but there's no way I can afford a $400+ video card. lol

have you had any problems with either of those BFG cards? does the 6800 GT really only take up one slot? how big is your power supply?

By releasing we mean "today" as they should be on store shelves and online sites as you read this.

This will probably be the next card I buy (have a 9600xt now). I've been waiting for a good card around $200, and it is getting close to christmas . Although would you recommend this over the ati counterpart (x600 or whatever)? Is that even out yet?

From Gamespot's review:

"The GeForce 6600 GT handily outperforms the Radeon 9800 Pro in all the tests, and we have no problem naming the GeForce 6600 GT AGP our new value-card selection.
Depending on card supplies in the weeks following launch, we will likely see GeForce 6600 GT AGP prices stay above $200, since the new card will generate significant interest among the large number of AGP-system owners looking for a video-card upgrade. We're hoping that we'll also see the Radeon X700 XT AGP before the holidays, but that seems unlikely."

I'm waiting until this card comes out:

I've got the 6800 Ultra.. I have had no problems with it. It DOES take up the PCI slot next to the AGP slot. As for power.. I've got a true power 550watt.. so I am covered.... I have not had any bad luck with any of the BFG Tech. cards that I have bought over the past few years.
