wait a sec. i make a venting post on how the expense of Christmas and how a series of events this year has made Christmas going poorly for me so far. you make a reply which basically berates me like a 12 year old for not having the Christmas spirit. would you care to explain to me how you saying "shame on you" and calling me a "****ing whiner" is taken out of context?

are you psychic? can you read minds or see the future? no? that's what i thought.
that quote is quite presumptuous on your part Packet. i've just donated my time and gas to making sure that some kids that i've never seen in my life will have smiles on their faces on Christmas morning. if anyone has taken anything out of context in this thread, it's you. how you equate dog shit, hurricane damage expenses, stolen presents and a damaged laptop into me not wanting to see happy family members on Christmas day is beyond me. the very act of me worrying about how i'm gonna pay my credit card bills should speak volumes to you in terms of me making sure everyone in my famliy will have a smile on their face when they open their presents.

Well my tree is about a half of a yard high, and I didn't have to put it together. It was already put together when I bought it

I kinda figured that your tree was small enough so as not to need assembly. It was just a lame joke about Ikea. I'm not too big on the holidays myself. I don't enjoy them nearly as much as when I was a kid and my parents were still together ....... so I don't try to be festive. I just concentrate on the "spending time with close friends and family" thing. I would have to agree that the complete commercialization of Christmas completely SUCKS ....... but it is definitely worth it to see my nieces and nephews open up their gifts.

Man, I really appreciate these messages. The humor, the sadness, and eveything in between helps all of us understand life and each other a little better. I just hope no one holds hard feelings against anyone else for saying what they need to say during a stressful time of year for all.
You guys are all my friends. I feel closer to you all every time I read a thread like this, and that makes me feel good.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND MAY YOU FEEL PEACE THIS HOLIDAY
PS. Yeah, Packet, my son has a rude awakening in the near future. Trust me on that. I think they call it "tough love". Jan. 10th sounds as good a date as any!
