This is just horrible
I've been following this story since it broke. The death toll is steadily climbing. I feel really bad for these people.

Can you imagine if that earthquake and the resulting tidal wave had happened in the center of the Atlantic? North America, South America, Europe and North Africa could all be impacted. The death toll and damage would be astronomical. |

You know what's scary?
My parents were in the Maldives just a few weeks ago.
They actually were thinking about us going there sometime around this period. All of us going somewhere to the Maldives, going diving. Immagine what would have happened..
My mother tried e-mailing one of the dive instructors there, and she has yet to respond. Not suprising, since all communication has probably been cut off, but still..

I had lunch today with a friend of mine who just got back from Thailand. He was where the epecenter hit just three weeks ago. Crazy...

There is actually a fault line off the coast of Africa that is ready to go and it is supposed to be huge. They are predicting that the wave to hit florida and the south coast to be thirty feet high!!!
