I think the Eagles put up some good numbers, but they also made too many mistakes. I don't think the Patriots beat them NEARLY as much as they beat themselves. I DO think that the Eagles are a great team, and I still am a fan of McNabb. ........ but they just handed that one over to the Patriots.

Patriots are a great team, i'm not gonna take that away from them. but Philly beat themselves. this really could have been an Eagles win. poor clock management, 2 awful throws by McNabb and that corner who wasn't covering his receiver on the Pats first touchdown were primarily the deciding factors in an otherwise even contest. it wasn't the dominating win that many Pats fans thought it would be.
congrats Pats. the Eagles will be back.

Personally I thought McNabb beat himself, Philly's defense played superb, he just didnt look confident enough, and was making a lot of bad decisions. 3 Turnovers with the Pat's is huge, could have been back breaking, but I was amazed witht he fight that Philly showed. I personally thought that Dillon was the difference factor for the offense. Although he didn't have a break out game, he was still a threat, where Westbrook couldn't get anything going on the ground.
Finally, although Deion Branch played a career game, what about Rodney Harrison, 2 INT's 1 sack, and I think 5 or 6 tackles. I kinda thought he deserved the MVP, oh well.

I agree, wasting about 2 minutes in huddles and waiting for the snap count between the 5th minutes an the 2nd minute of play wasn't smart. Mcnabb must of thought he had all the time in the world....

It seems to me that McNabb didnt show "any heart what so ever".
I dont know maybe he felt bad for bradys grammy dieing or something.
I lost hope after seeing the performance by him last night.
on a lighter note Owens can say and do anything he wants from now on. He has proven himself to be a warrior.

Gorro, the Eagles have been known not too be much of a running team all season. after all, in a West Coast offense those short 5 or so yard passes are like runs. look at Westbrooks receiving yards and total yards combined and you'll see what i mean. a better run game by the Eagles would have helped, but it's not necessary in their scheme.
i've been following the Eagles for a very long time, including the day McNabb was drafted. from day one it's been baby steps with him, but nonetheless he's steadily developing into a great quarterback. look back over the years and you will see what i'm saying. this season he made a huge leap in performance compared to last year. he became more confident, more accurate and became more of a pocket passer than a scrambler. most of his mistakes in the game were caused by a good Pats defense keeping tremendous pressure on him. that is still something he needs to learn to deal with.
one thing about him is that he learns from his mistakes. i have no doubt he will be a better QB because of his somewhat poor performance in this game. if just one interception was eliminated from this game, it's quite likely this game would have been a tie at the end of the 4th quarter, or an Eagles win.
"We'll be back" -Donovan McNabb
