do you know the benefit from upping to these? Does it fix the BF2/Audigy problem where some file that was being used was old and you had to manually change it (something wrapper something something)?

On a side note...should move this to the Tech forum....had a hard time finding it after I saw it as new

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THESE!!!! I installed them and have nothing but trouble! First, it messed up all my settings. I used to run my mic level at 50%, now I had to have it at 100% to get people to hear me! (and yes the mic boost is on). In BF2, my TS would not be able to be heard, and neither would ingame. Also, I couldn't hear the gun fire where before I could! This is a bad update! BAD! I rolled my drivers back, but now it doesn't autoswitch for me between headphones and 5.1 surround when I plug it in or unplug it....stupid!

I just did a fresh install of my machine and used these. They work fine for me. Maybe upgrading is a problem?

I did an upgrade.. and havent discovered any problems yet for me..

I am currently working on that now! But backing up about 100gigs of music and pron takes awhile

I hope that a fresh install will take care of any problems that I had. I am not even going to install the CD drivers, I am just going to auto-update it from the website.

Grrr....but I guess it was time to reinstall anyways.
