i got this APC 1000va battery backup with AVR for $30 at Officemax. normally, it's $130.

****ing assistant manager wouldn't give it to me for the $30, even though the register rang up for that price. so i had to call in the big guns(my fiance). she went in there, and he gave it to her with almost no fuss. i was gonna buy the last 2 that they had, but the prick manager wanted the one i tried to buy for himself. that's why he wouldn't sell it to me for $30. anyways, many people having easy success grabbing these. read the anandtech link.

Doh!! I visited my local Office Max this afternoon, but they didn't have any. Regardless, thanks for the tip Horsepower!
