I'm running Vista right now. So far it doesn't seem to be anything to ooh or ahh about. It just doesn't feel like that large of an upgrade from XP.

I'm downloading the x64 version of vista right now..im curious if there is a difference in speed etc.

It does look nice but it runs somewhat slowly. The hard drive runs on some of the most trivial tasks. Booting up takes forever compared to XP. I realize this is a beta so they have some cleaning up to do.

Do you have to do this under a clean install, or can you install it straight over XP?

You can install it over XP SP2. Although I'm not sure if you'd get the same performance as a clean install.

Can you play bf2 on the 64 bit version? I.e has anyone tried this yet. If so, post here so i can decide if i want to do it yet

My download speed has doubled too. Im getting the office beta at 750 kb/s now
