Florida Residents Needed
Hey all,
I was wondering if any of you current Florida people could help me out here? Without going into too much detail, my wife and I are looking at good places to raise a family in Florida. Now I know there are some not-so-terrific places (i.e. Miami, etc...) but do not know of any places that are considered exceptional kid-raising towns. We would be looking for a place with a exceptional school system, non-city (suburbian) but maybe close to a city (for job prospects). Horse and always_there, I know you guys are down there and anyone else who has knowledge of really good places, could you please let me know?
I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Awesome Stryker! That is exactly the type of thing I am looking for, thank you.
Still, if anyone has any first hand experiences/opinions, I'd like to hear about those too.

Most Schools are awful in Florida. Last I checked, Martin county was good for public schools. Also, if you move to florida let me give you some advice. Move near the coast. As close as possible. Interior counties in Florida are about as sparse as you can get. I am sure when Horse sees this he will post. Port saint lucie is a great place to live, but the schools suck in that county. I had teachers that spoke worse english than a kindergarten student, and that was high school.

first, need to know your price range for a house. second, what type of jobs are needed? third, you like old style living, like in the woods/country and stuff or modern living? fourth....exceptional schools in Florida? BWAHAHAA!!! Florida is not known for good schools. you will need to do research on that one. there are A+ schools in each county district, but you have to live in that school's zone to send your kids there. determine where you want to live then you can narrow down the school zones.

there are some good schools in this district. you just have to know which ones. Martin county schools are not bad from what i've read.
no matter where you live down here there are going to be people that don't speak English very well. Florida needs teachers badly so they're hiring anyone that has the qualifications.

Well, in my book, Jeb as a leader is much better than Chris as a leader!
There ya go, disagree with me there. Come on, can't do it can ya?
Have you sent the disc space report yet?

Jeb's ok........for a Republican. No doubt he's a better politician than his brother and defintely better than the last 2 good 'ole boy cracker Democrats. Jeb's learned a lot and done a lot about Florida hurricane prepardness. His first go at it wasn't pretty though.
