I was almost a pilot. My Dad bought a Cessna 150 when i was about 16 and got his license. I was working on it and doing very well. I was up to my solo cross country flights then i got a girlfriend....
20 years later i still haven't finished. Dad has 2 planes now. The old 150 and a Grob 109 Motorglider. I worked at the local airport all through highschool so i know tons about planes. 2 of the instructors at the airport went to Embry Riddle like you are. I knew a couple friends that went too.. both flunked out. They spent all their time in Florida partying instead of studying.
So don't be stupid Gemini. Just buckle down and get done.
I have a friend that is a commercial pilot. He has a couple billion hours. But the closest he came to being a big bird pilot was working for the Commuter airlines. He may have done some drug smuggling out of Columbia too, not sure
I have flown in tons of planes though. Not counting commercial planes: Cessna-150, C-152, C-170, C-180, C172, C-182, C-210, C-310 Twin, C-421 Twin, Piper 140, 160 , 180. Piper Seneca, Piper Pacer, Globe Swift, Eurocoupe - scary plane no rudders, Citabria Decathalon, Aeronca Champ, Aeronca Chief, PT-17 Stearman, Piper Tomahawk (traumahawk), Piper Bonanza V-Tail, A King Air (forget which one), Cessna Cardinal, Maxair Drifter Ultralight, And a Hughes 300 Helicopter. Probably some more that i forget.
Eventually, when i have money i plan on buying/building a RV-8. $20k for a kit and you have a 200 mph plane that can do all aerobatics. Flying straight and level is BORING!!!
My brother just bought a Phantom Ultralight. But he is crazy!
Good luck my brutha! Flying rules!
