Transformers: The Movie
I got a chance to see the movie tonight and WOW it was awesome. Transformers came out when I was 5 so I grew up on them. I was skeptical about this movie but it really blew me away and was done very well. The humor in the movie is even good, and really worked. I can't wait for the inevitable sequel.

Awesome to hear! My girlfriend heard some skeptical reviews and was worried, but hearing praise from a person who has grown up on the show is much more reliable than from a critic...

No I'm not asking how to do it I'm saying how can you watch a big SFX movie like that on the internet? That's something I need to see in the best possible audio/video.

I saw it too on the 2nd. OMG, easily in my top 10 movies list. I grew up on shows like this and wow, the action. CG was great and they used the good ol' one liner, "One shall stand, one shall fall." Also the ending gave it completely open for a sequel so I''m wonder what they'll think up for it.

"Transformers," a special-effects movie extravaganza based on popular toys, earned $27.5 million during its first full day of release and appears on track to dominate the weekend box office, according to estimates on Wednesday by distributor Paramount Pictures.
After earning $8.8 million from Monday night screenings across the United States and Canada, the movie pulled in $27.5 million the next day -- a sum billed by Paramount as the biggest Tuesday haul for a movie.
