He is actually working on getting a license as a manufacturer. I am not sure that he can sell them though.

They are illegal in Michigan:

"'Any person who shall manufacture, sell, offer for sale or possess
any machine gun or firearm which shoots or is designed to shoot
automatically more than 1 shot without manual reloading, by a
single function of the trigger, or any muffler, silencer or device
for deadening or muffling the sound of a discharged firearm, . . .
shall be guilty of a felony, punishable by imprisonment in the
state prison for not more than 5 years or by a fine of not more
than $2,500.00."

They don't seem all that hard to make. You should check your local laws. He showed me how to make them. Basically you take a piece of steel and slice it at a sharp angle then set them up in so you can drill a hole through them at an angle then put them in a tube spaced out.

I am sure there are lots of places you can find instructions. But damn they work nice. The Uzi was jsut awesome to shoot. There was literally no sound from the bullet when he loaded low velocity rounds.

i'm 99% sure silencers are not legal anywhere in the U.S. homemade ones are ....ehh....not usually too good. they usually lessen the noise and the power. a real manufactured silencer, designed for the gun, will be much better (even more quiet, and not rob as much power or affect aim).

As far as them being legal, I hope they're not. Yeah they may kick ass to play with, but it just gives the bad people in the world a head start. You shoot a gun in a mall, most of the mall is going to hear it and freak out, and he will be easily seen. You shoot a silenced gun in a mall and only a small amount of people hear. Hard to explain what the hell I'm talking about..

Oh and I would be scared to test a silencer.. not so sure I want something that could interfere with a bullet moving 2500fps in my hands.
