9/11: Still Pissed

Every year this day comes around I reflect upon what happened on 9/11: where I was, how I felt, what I remember seeing. I'm usually an easy going person and forgive easily, but even after 6 years I find myself still extremely pissed off and wanting to extract painful revenge on these assholes.

I remember watching this flash video on the one year anniversary of 9/11. I'm surprised it's still around. It's long but I think it's better than most of the tribute videos. It shows street level photos and many of the victims, something that a lot of other videos don't. Watch it if you want. http://www.pentagonattack911.com/wtc.htm

My brother's friend had two brothers in each tower. One didn't make it. Every year his family goes on vacation around this week so as not to hear anything about it again.

Thank you Horse. I am sorry to say that I was getting a little distant from the emotions I felt on that day and that brought them all back. A great reminder of why we are doing what we are doing.

I haven't seen that particular video since shortly after 2001 and am glad to see they've updated it with audio and more pics. Very moving.

I was only 10, almost 11 at the time of the attacks.. but I still remember the day perfectly. I am also ashamed of how little I thought of it. Yeah I was only in 5th grade.. but I think back and it is embarrassing.

I really wish I would have had the chance to see the towers.. they seem like they would have been such a beautiful sight. I was in NYC last year, and there was still just the hole in the ground, nothing there. I walked through the building next to it.. not sure what to call it, but the one that the "store" is like a mini museum of 9/11. I think I spent hours in that place.. I couldn't even read the cards in the basement, So many children lost parents at such a young age.

I want to point out the sign in the video, "Bush declare war on Afghanistan tonight 9/11" (or something along those lines, can't remember exactly). People need to think back to what happened, one of the reasons we went to the middle east in the first place. I think people are forgetting what happened and the drive behind the war starting.

Edit: I also think people that think our government had a part in this clearly have a screw lose. Why would someone in their right mind want to put a whole country through this.

Totally understandable. But while they go away to try and forget about it, the rest of us have to remember.

Oddly enough, when I was in 5th grade we took a field trip to NYC that included going to the top of one of the towers. I wish I had brought a camera. What an incredible view.

Just wanted to bump.

Thanks HP

All of those people died because of a huge hate crime..... the hijackers didn't know them from Adam, and didn't care. "They were American. And they deserved to die.......... "

MAY WE NEVER FORGET

It is funny how few people realize what is happening in the world.

They think that we are just at war with Bin Laden and that is it.

There is a whole faction of the Islamic religion that thinks all American must die. Not because of anything in particular just because we are not Islamic. It is a total perversion of the religion and they will not stop (kinda like the Terminator)

If we try to ignore it we are just inviting them to escalate the attacks. It is kind of like dealing with a bully. If you do nothing or try to be nice to them they just kick your ass again.

Whenever i hear someone saying we need to end the war and quit it just ticks me off.

BAH! whatever.

I with everyone. I was 13 sitting in cooking class a little piss ant freshman in highschool yelling holy shit they're falling. I had a dumb look on my face all day. I knew there were people in there and the "movie" was real life. That;s the second time I was so shocked that I froze up. I've seen people killed seriously 50 feet away from me and I've see death on television, but never has the TV stopped me cold. I'm just hoping that in all the bombs that went off over there, that someone paid the price.

I wouldn't be at all opposed to leveling that area of the world. They have always been so intent on killing others because it's their holy mission. They will end up killing themselves anyways, so let's just help them out like the big team players we are.
