Remove team kick-vote from Ninjaserve servers?

^^ Should we remove the team kick vote from Ninjaserve servers? Map votes and global kick-vote are already disabled. What say you?

Yeah it's getting annoying seeing the smacktards vote to kick Trahn left and right.... and the funny thing is I'm the nazi of the two of us and do most of the banning and warning with him being the "rational and reasoning" side..... totally messed up as I figure it would be me they would ban.

The team kick option can sometimes be useful i find, but with the level of admin presence here on the EOD server, it becomes redundant.
but for those rare occasions when theres nary an admin around, and there someone being a general jerk, but no hitting the definied limits of the autokick on the server side, then this is a usefulll tool, for saveing the fun in a game, by making a Smaktard-lombotomy to go away.

Is there anythign out there that will display the name of the person INGAME starting a vote.. that was those annoying smap voters could be targeted by the team correcly and removed.

My 2 cents worth

I vote to turn it off.. but that is just because I seem to be getting it alot lately. I got it again tonight on the server while playing Vinh Loc. I hadn't shot anyone or did anything to anyone for someone to initiate a vote on me.. Other than the fact people were asking questions about who is the admin. I did warn a few people and I did perm. ban two people for destroying equipment and TK'ing. These two had been warned by me in the past on several occassions as well as been given bans before and tonight, enough was enough. (They were 99% Packetloss and 50% Packetloss. - I hope they were not related to SSP_Packetloss...) Other than that, I see no reason for someone to try to kick the "admin" out, but for no other reason then to see if they can get it done.

I really believe that people are doing it for kicks. Like I mentioned before, most people just hit yes because they do not care one way or another. If I remember correctly, this is not a permenant kick, so if they did get me out of there. I can come right back in. However, they might just redo the vote again to see if they are successful a second time. I would have no way of knowing who is doing it. I did tell them today that whomever was "playing that game" should stop as it would not be tolerated.

Horse, I am really curious to know who initiated the kick today. There were several of the same people in the server today as yesterday when this was going on. Same names - same players. I did write down the time this occurred. Does the server log this information?

If it does.. check the file for 4/1/04 at 21:00 - 21:11 time frame. It was during that 11 minute stretch the vote was put up. (I had opened my server manager to warn someone and it logged the time and chat that I typed out.) Therefore, the time is correct.

Let me know what you come up with.

If we decide to implement the no vote rule..and people do not like it. They only have themselves to blame for abusing it.

Thanks,

Trahn

I vote remove it. I think to many people abuse that right. I think the admins are mature enough here to boot the right people from what I have seen in my short time with you guys.

I gotta get Packet to fix the time on the boxes. Doing a time search in the logs is real hard right now. Anyways, I've never seen any entries in the log regarding votes. It doesn't record who initiated a vote.

Roger that Horse. I will keep better track of who is asking the questions..and who is in the server. I will eventually, proabably figure it out...These guys are probably not smart enough. THEY will make a mistake eventually and give themselves away.
