i dont know if the 9's have come out yet or what but if the price has dropped enough then you are probably only ever going to need an 8800 GTX or 2 if you are psycho.

seriously the best deal per processing power is the GTS in SLI. apparently you can get 2 GTS for the same if not less than a GTX and it performs WAAAAAAAY better.

(all that info was from him pre 9 series. if it has come out then check the prices and compare gtx and gts price to performance ratio i guess. i dont know how he does it but from what i have heard on the internets he is right. i guess you could relate it to the power to weight ratio of a car.... cept its power to cost.)
you are smoking crack my friend. my 8800gtx is the shit. all i gotta say is if you think spending $550 for 2 gts is better then buying 1 gtx for $300. i say .

the point is that 2 gts is like 1.7 x better than a gtx and you are only paying a hundred moar.

oh and now they got these fancy gts 512s which are like sex. i read up on those and they are literally about the same as the gtx. i tiny bit less and for less. they have a higher texture fill rate than the gtx too according to nvidia.

also look at those new 8800 gt that are also almost as good as those gts 512's and are better than the regular gts's
