They are only cutting the prices because amds are so cheap and get even better performace on 64bit platforms (phenoms)..which we all will have to use by 2011(more like 2014 probably) when microsoft releases their new os only in 64bit. So might as well upgrade now and be prepared.

its too bad that the cell processor has 7 cores. already... and is ****ing beast. compliments of IBM. (hey they didnt screw something up)

I think if i get money I might go quad core and what ever the new gfx card is out there with 3 gigs of ram. Pick up teh vista'z and not get a new computer for 3-5 more years.

You are going to need atleast 4 gigs and a 64bit OS and then you will be secured for some time.
