Gen I haven't watched ALL of the videos yet but I just got through watching the one brift posted and that video is absolutely abhorable. The person who made the video is praying that he can prey upon the weak and feeble minded people who actually watch Fox news in hopes of gaining any sort of "No-spin Zone".

The first video claims that Rev. Wright is rude but Hannity is ALWAYS rude to the guests on that show that ever have anything to say, notice how hannity kept throwing in little words like "ok but", "i won't interrupt you", etc... Saying shit like that is only a psychological ploy to get whoever is perhaps speaking some sense to trip up and repeat themselves because hannity's ignorant disrespectful ass can't compete on a serious debate "i attended a seminar" he was saying, well wtf i took a 100 lvl lecture course in religion, does that mean i attended a whole bunch of seminars?!!?

and that video is so terribly "hey blackies, we gave you freedom and the (marginal) chance to lead lives like we get to, (rich and phat paid off from your hard working asses) so uhh....don't hate us. the thing about Imus is blown out of proportion a little bit but thats because he's white commenting about black people..."nappy headed hoes", hoes is just a general assumption to women in my book because white women can be hoes too, so the nappy headed (referring to their hair type) is a little bit stupid to get Überly pissed off about...the video makes the "white agenda" out to be the victim which is completely disgraceful. Worse yet, I bet if you confronted the creator they would react much like hannity. They'd completely ignore the reality of our current situation because they "don't deal with it in their immediate Cul de Sac so everything all throughout america must be just like this...so the problem doesn't lie within me" kind of thinking..


I hate hannity so much...makes no sense to trust that man with any sort of intellectual idea he spews...fox news is just bad all around...


And another thing, islamic religious leaders, and any kind of religious leader for that matter, should not exist. A religion should just have mentors, people who help you with the stories and mythos of the text so you get the message (which is usually don't be a dipshit). When religions gain a chain of command and heirarchy then they become subject to being bent to the will of the ones with power, no matter if run by an individual or a group, there is no higher power that they consult...they alone are the decisive ones.

I'll get to more of the other videos now/later but this would be much easier if i didn't have a crappy keyboard

Long ago I accepted that I will be in the minority in this arena (online gamers) when it comes to my political views. I have no problem with people that are flaming liberals and communists expressing their opinions. Hey this is AMERICA! We HAVE the rights as part of our awesome constitution that guarantees those rights. Someday all the people that are trying to make the US just like all the other Socialist/communist countries out there will realize what they are giving up.

Yea, not even close buddy. This is a huge falsehood that many people have been trying to push to help start the "One World Religion" and the "One World Government". All religions really point toward the same God and the same end, so there really is only one religion. Bono has been pushing the crap outta that nonsense at his concerts. When he started chanting that BS is when I left and demanded my money back. I came for the music, not his religious theocracy.

You read the Bible and it says Jesus was the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, rose again in three days. Every other religious text proclaims him as just a man, or as great prophet but NOT the Son of God. The Bible declares that belief and acceptance in Jesus is the only way to the Father, thus salvation. While every other religion declares that you will receive salvation through your works. BIG BIG difference. Saying they are the same exposes a great and/or willful ignorance.

I didn't post the video because I believe everything in it. I agree with Hannidy being as rude as he was being treated by the Rev. That stuff annoys me. I did it more to poke fun at Ash as should have been pretty obvious by my title. It was in good fun. That and I knew it would get some interesting conversation going but that was the by product. Nothing wrong with debate.

That letter was very well thought out and written for one who believes in what he does. There is one point that struck me hard as I've been working through this myself.

"Let your emotions follow your knowledge, not vice-versa."

This is surely not the case with the great majority of my generation and it angers me to no end. The older I get the more I feel this hasn't been by chance. When you base your knowledge off your emotions you will find yourself with no ground to stand on and feeling confused, angry and lost on a general whole. You will lash out at those who do not agree with your set beliefs with name-calling, belittling and snark because you stand on emotions, which change. When you do the opposite you will find yourself steady, confident in your beliefs and be able to approach others who believe differently with maturity and calm because your basing yourself of the truth, which does not change. It is the truth.

Wether or not you disagree with the letter itself, this is a solid fact of life that is a great step into another level of maturity that I am seeing many people my age and older miss out on because it is simply not taught. I see many such things not being taught and it greatly saddens me.

Anyways, I'm still lawling that Ash didn't have the balls to watch the vid. <3 Ash.

and islam started in about the 7th centure C.E. so the people he addressed in the letter couldn't have been practicing for 1700 years...

islam also teaches law not just a moral code of ethics which makes it even more abominable when someone violates that law because they are going against god AND state. In that sense, yes islam is more successful gov't wise because it runs off from fear of consequence. Not just the "i hope your not mean because being mean isn't nice" system.

Ash has a point and it seems the writer of teh letter is on the exact plane of the jihadists he is talking about, because he is making grand assumptions that his ideas apply to all followers of the faith and he is preparing himself (and his child) to do whatever necessary to destroy the rising evil powers...islam is the 2nd largest religion in the world to christianity...that doesn't mean islam is going to try attack and destroy all christians JUST so they can be #1...

Oh and Brift that is your interpretation of the bible that only following and believing in jesus christ will gain access to the father...i think the point Gen Mal was trying to make was that Judiasm, christianity, and Islam all sprouted from the Old Testament...the torah (old testy) is the religious text of the jewish, wafer eaters take the new and old testament although they clearly prefer to think of their god as "all loving" because jesus was a cool dude....and islam sprouts about due to the prophet mohammmed popping some shrooms or something and going on a mystical journey. (that will probably offend someone....) but all three really are interconnected...people have just interpretted them differently and decided to completely start a new religion instead of christians being happy as a small sect of judaism.

basically they all sprouted from the same god, they are all clearly different when you actually look at them, jewish god seems vengeful and petty, christian god is supposed to be all loving and knowing, and the muslim god is stern and decisive

problem is people don't know where to draw the line, fantastic accounts like those found in holy texts are only there to grab your mind so that the morals can be blugeoned in there, but people start actually believing the fantasy and go too far with it... IMO of course

That's not my interpretation. That's what it says, plain and clear. I'm not really sure how people can sit there and say that it can be read differently.

If I declare that I am white, quite obviously I am white. There are those who might have a reason to muddy that up and say that perhaps he means this in a different way. Perhaps he is declaring himself a racist etc etc. You can make a religion off of my statement, you can use it as leverage to argue what a horrible person I am. I simply stated a simple and clean fact. White is the color of my skin. It's a simple statement. It's the truth.

Jesus states plainly, He is the way to the Father. That's what it says. Pretty simple. I can make other statements from other holy texts that state things quite plainly. I use the Bible because it seems to generate the most reaction. People seem to have zero tolerance for the Bible but then they turn around and demand tolerance for themselves and everything else. This fact fascinates and amuses me a great deal and it's why I'll usually reference it in debates. It'll show me instantly who truly is tolerate and open minded.
