My first pistol...
Well I went out yesterday and bought myself a 9mm... Suprisingly they sold it to me and let me take it home with ammo in about 5 minutes from an actual gunshop... I always thought there was a wait on handguns... At any rate it is a Ruger P-95 DC here's a pic of the pistol not my actual pistol but the exact same gun... I shot it a few times and it's a really nice gun. Mine is slightly different as it has no safety like the one in this pic... It only has a hammer release. The kool thing is I can wear it anywhere in new mexico on my hip!!!!

Nice! Also note that P95 is on the list of IPSC production division allowed guns, so look for an IPSC course and exam and get into practical shooting! IPSC - "Excellence in Shooting" and search for videos in youtube about it.
For most people IPSC is not so much competing but learning safe gun handling when under pressure. When you hear that beep that starts the clock you'll forget everything..
I went to my first match last month, was not last so beat my target there - would have been happy just to be able to execute stages safely and have fun and get the last place. When standing on the first stage starting position and waiting for the beep I realized that after 6 months of practice I was not really prepared for this moment..
As a bonus, you'll find a lot of people to argue with in one place :-) Infiltrate!!

Got a holster for that? I guess Fobus RU97BH should fit from Fobus Holster or a shop near you.. and a couple of 6909BH for extra magazines, and you are ready for IPSC, or open carry for that matter.

No holster yet... I been gangster style in my belt so far... I'll have to look into all that as I only go to a range so far. But I've been shooting guns since I was a child... I used to hunt alot when I was a kid too, well poach alot really if ya wanna get technical. But I am really rather natural with a gun because of my past. So I am sure I could go find an IPSC and hang... But argueing with people with pistols here in the U.S. seems like askin for it... I mean with all the crazies. but really I need to teach the wife how to handle it for the most part.

P95
Have you been to the range with the P95 much, or plinking otherwise? How does that shoot?
I just bought an inside waistband holster (supertuck from crossbreedholsters) for IDPA if that sports starts around here soon. (No concealed carry here so can use it just for sports shooting.) Unbelievable how that works. It just disappears, and I am a small guy as you know and Taurus 24/7 OSS is not a compact pistol. My wife had to search me to know if it was on or not, and I was wearing just T-shirt and jeans. Must recommend that one.

The p-95 is very accurate, or I'm just lethal... I never miss the black and usually alway hit near dead center and I shoot quickly... That is rapid one shot after the other emptying the clip, but Im a natural with a gun. I go fairly often cuz brenda still isnt the best shot so I have to go so she can get better. There is this undershirt holster I want that is a mesh shirt with a padded pocket under the armpit, its too kool... Youd never know if I get that one...
