i'm ok. only have minor damage compared to others in my area. Toetag is ok, but doesn't have power. he's using my generator and a window AC unit so it's not as bad for him as it had been for the prior 5 days.

sorry to post such a short message, but it's been a very exhausting 7 days. seems i may only have a day or so to relax before i have to prepare for the next storm. hurricane Ivan could be the 3rd one i've had to deal with this year. this is focking bullsh|t. i'm sick of this.

if you guys are interested in hearing what we are dealing with in the hurricane damaged areas, click the following link. they aren't allowed to air commercials on the internet, so there will be periods where it seems the stream has gone down. it hasn't. just wait a few minutes for the commercials to finish. http://ccdig.liquidviewer.com/wzzr

FYI: i live in Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie county. Toetage lives in Vero Beach, Indian River county. Groovy Dude and Low Profile both live in Palm Beach county. i forget what cities they live in.

one interesting thing i saw on the news hurricane wise, is a guy riding a jetski through flooded areas.

and by the looks of it, ivan will be a real bastard of a hurricane.

Am I listening to a radio? Anyways, don't move to Texas. The have a few floods and tornados. Pennsylvania has neither! j/k.

I fell really bad for you. I just hope that everything will turn out ok and I'm sure you can't wait until the end of hurricane season.

yes it's a local radio station that is usually an all-talk format. they don't stay on one topic. you can call with just about any topic. right now they are broadcasting post-hurricane talk on 4 or 5 stations which pretty much covers the whole area that was hit by Frances.

during "normal" times, the content is usually comedic in nature. they sometimes play comedy bits like (only old timers will "get" the Paul Harvey bit) http://www.lovedoctors.com/audio/paulbong.mp3 and http://www.lovedoctors.com/audio/president_speech.mp3

Glad you are okay! Keep in touch! It looks like Ivan may go around Florida this time and up the west coast. Hopefully, it will be far enough out to sea in the Carribean to not interfere with Florida - for once.

Glad to hear you guys are okay. Although power is slowly being restored, many of the grocery stores in my area still don't have milk, breads, meats etc... and there are still some lines at the gas pump. Trying to stay ahead of the masses preparing for Ivan, I went to Ft. Lauderdale last night to get some perishable goods and gas. I missed the curfew time and had to sneak into Greenacres (suburb of West Palm Beach) through the back way...

This really sucks. I was hoping to take my storm shutters down this weekend, but at this point it looks like that's not going to happen.
