ok....the new server *spam protection* schemes..



i cant do a THING i cant use the simple tools..mute/unmute and away all at once? wtf is with that. i cant switch back to a channel? its pathetic.

no we're NOT KIDDING. we're going to use it. it is effective in keeping the so-called *spammers* off the server.

we were unaware that the max client command restrictions were so tight. SA's are not subject to them so we never saw the problems. today i created a registered "test" account and recreated your complaints. yes, i agree there is a problerm and we'll fix it.

since when do we need to be railed for a problem? has there ever been a time when we haven't tried to cater to the needs of everyone here or promptly fix issues as they arise? remember, Watchdog was installed due to the ever increasing amount of TS spammers we were getting. it was done for YOU and all the other players here. if there are problems with it, we'll address them as they come along.

thanks for letting us know there was a problem. simply just telling us what the problem is or using constructive criticism in the future would be appreciated.

this should be 'fixed" now, but there are still maximum client command restrictions. i dont want to post what they are in this public forum. if registered and unregistered users exceed the parameters of the restrictions, you're banned for a very short amount of time. bot spammers are banned much much longer.

we haven't been able to test the bot spammer restrictions. if the TS server is bot spammed, we need to know about it. make a post and let us know please.
