TeamSpeak vs In- Game VOIP
I'm looking forward to trying out Teamspeak for BF2142 but just curious what the advantage is over the VOIP in the game already. I believe in BF2142 there are 2 keys for push to talk as opposed to the "pre-recorded" command/request selections in the Commo Rose.
All I really want to do is talk to squad members briefly especially when I'm piloting an aircraft and I have gunners onboard. I dont want to broadcast to the whole team so was curious what to press by default to do that.
Thanks in advance...
Fritz

Advantage of TS over "ingame" is that you can consantly talk to your teammates or enemies that are logged on to the server. "Ingame" can only be used if you're in a squad. Most of us have our TS buttons separate from the squad. There are a few (babytaz, Lotsurb) who have their "ingame" button the same as their TS and those who are in their squad get to hear them twice

...and much like hearing us twice in game, we get to read Tag's post twice. LOL.
Beh, I hardly ever talk over VOIP but I wasn't aware I was echoing when I did that. I'll make sure to set those differently.

No, the double post was an accident when my IE decided it didn't want to work with me anymore. The comment was more me poking fun at you 2.
Admin if you could delete the 2nd post, I'd appreciate it.

Old timer!!
I am not highspeed on these latest tech VOIP softwares!! I use the in game chat most of the time since all I play is CSS. My new clan demanded I use Teamspeak because in game chat messes up with the environmental sounds for other players on the team. I am still having difficulties with TS. I will say in game for PUBS but for SCRIMS and clan server's TS.
Remember many online players don't know about TS!!

yeah, i was going to say, Teamspeak uses much less bandwidth, has better spam protection with admins patroling it and you will typically be able to find a group to play with on teamspeak, on the in-game voip, its hard to coordinate due to the muffled voices and bad latency..
