Yeah, I am pretty sure that you have to pay to play. I think that is how it is, otherwise how could they keep the severs up and running?

Yeah, but then how is Guild Wars (Ex Blizzard guys who created Warcraft and Diablo) going to do it? They are pretty inovative, they have allowed people to pre-order Guild Wars, and those that do can play the beta on weekends, paying beta-testers; good move on their part. All I know is that I wouldn't pay to be a beta tester for any of the stuff I do, but that is me. I will wait till Feb for this game, b/c it is awesome.
