Hi all, I just wanted to spread the word!!! This is going to be a great game!!! I have played on both open beta tests, and have preordered to play the weekend Betas... I see a lot of hype about WoW(which is pay to play)... Guild Wars is going to be free(after you buy it :p ), with expansions. Release date is Feb. 2005...

Patiently waiting!!!

You have to order the game to beta test on weekend????

Yes Red, you have to buy the game to play on the beta. They did have open beta testing during E3 and then a few weeks ago as well. Now you have to buy it to play the beta. If you ask me that is some great marketing skills. Have people buy something that even isn't done yet just so they can test it for you. In all my past, and current

, experiences you don't have to buy the product to beta test it, they send it to you (and yes Gorro I know it is $$$$$$). If you ask me, they are charting some new waters. With all that said, I will buy it, it was a great game during E3, and I know it has gotten better since.

Yes, you have to pay, but there are many benefits, A) you get a free in game item, B) you and a friend get to beta test on a weekend, so Drayu lucks out anyway... C) it comes with alot of nice extras including a nice manual, OH YEAH... I only paid 3 bucks at Gamestop to preorder..... so yes you have to pay, but $3 - 5 dollars is nothing IMO

Hi all, I just wanted to send you all some screenshots from the beta weekend!!! Lots of people misunderstand this game... it is probably the best game I have ever played, in my opinion. There are coop missions, tons of side missions, many explorable areas, Guild battles, Arena Battles(I will send Screenshots of those as well) crafting weapons, finding craftable materials, too much to tell.

Looks nice, although I wonder how long they will run it free. You know that can't last long, especially when they have to pay for upkeep of the servers and stuff. The money will come short and then the game will be dropped or they will start charging to pay. I am highly sceptical(sp?) about it staying free for long. They might start realeasing expansions for it and making you get them. That is another way of increasing money.

well, that is there ploy... it will be expansions. In my opinion though, I can't stand paying on a monthly basis, for example: 12 months x $15 = $180... For me, if I quit, I don't want to have to worry about cancelling a subscription.

^ That pic is from the close of the 4th Beta (which happens at 3AM so I missed it) But I guess one of the Dev's comes in and turns everyone on fire, and then brings in dragons, I have a ton of those pics too, from a friend... I wish it ended a little earlier...
