MS Flight Sim X

Does anyone have this? I wanted to try it out and I finally have a system that'll run it with no issues. Also, what's a good joystick? I want something decent but I don't need a full cockpit in my room. I was thinking the Logitech Extreme 3D.

Not sure about the game but I have a Logitech Extreme 3D and I love it (programmable buttons, setting dead zones, etc...).

Must be the reason I am such a good BF2142 pilot?

You really want a yoke and pedals if you want to do anything more than dick around with it. The CH USB yoke and pedals are a quality set for not too much $$$...

yeah extreeme 3d pro is great, so is the thrustmaster 30 buck joystick, personally, i kinda like the thrustmaster, despite the fact that it has less buttons, it is more responsive and will not break.. i say, if you have a compusa/bestbuy around that has a 21 day or 30 day return policy, buy one, return it, buy a second, return it, 3rd, return it, by the time you have tried em out they should all be on the returns rack and you can pick the one out that you want for cheap.

ive gone through 3 extreme 3d pro's ive got the x52 from saitek and the thrustmaster, i use the thrustmaster for bf2 and any other games that don't need serious tuning and the x52 for everything else..

Some pics I took last night during MP:

I flew co-pilot while trying to learn. My pilot made a textbook landing.

More pics I took last night after downloading the Qantas skin.

Only had time to mess with Qantas tonight. I downloaded like 30 so I'll mess with them more tomorrow and post pics.

The detail is sick on some of these areas though. If you look at the second picture you can see the Olympic stadium, and in the third picture you can see downtown Sydney and the Opera House.

Nah I just took off and took some pics. It was too late to mess with it, but I definitely want to try it.

The 747s are tough to land. Spend some time in the tutorials, Stryker. You can really learn a lot about the flying and all the instruments.
