I was checking around and found out you dont need to pay for WoW to play it. All you need is the game installed and to change to what it connects to to a private server and vola! You are up and playing. So that got me thinking...what if...here it comes...we had a server dedicated for WoW? Could have custom content and we could all play together.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Post the info you have Corrosion but seeing as how you're bypassing Blizzard's servers I'm thinking it's not kosher.

Pretty sure there are plenty of private WoW servers out there. I'd be willing to check it out in that case.

I know people set them up to LAN.. but I don't know if you can actually set one up for a community.. legally.

private wow servers are very common actually, not that I know how to do it or anything.

I would however be very stoked to play wow with you ninjaserve guys, and I would have to bring a few of my very good buddies to play too

If you guys do want to do this first you need to get a emulator.

A big thing with WoW emulators is they do lag a bit. But that was when I did played them...before BC was out.
Some of the fun stuff in the emulator is the custom items that you can make...I rem a server that were making devil/angel wings that would work like a flying mount...was funny as hell testing it.
