Has anyone played this yet? I just played it through, it is pretty awesome. Graphics are top notch. It made my 8800 GTS weep.

Gonna get the demo now and check it out. If it made your 8800 weep, it should incinerate my ATI 1800XT.

I have a 8800 GTS 640mb. Im going to see if it runs smooth aswell...ill report after playing it my findings. I cant WAIT for this game...been waiting for it once i saw the previews for it. It looks insane.

I hear everybody (here and their forums) talking about high end pc's but mine's no where near that.. .

Intel 2.93 (oc'd to 3.36Ghz)
2.0 GB ram
Nvidia 7600 GS AGP (oc'd as well using DNA forceware and nHancer)
Win XP Pro sp2

Is it worth me even trying or would I just be pissing in the wind?

It requires a Shader Model 3.0 graphics card or better, and I don't think the 7600 has that. I have a P4 3.0 GHz with 3 GB of ram, and even with the 8800 GTS 640 MB graphics card I was lucky to get 30 FPS at 1680x1050.

This game is not going to sell very well, at least not right away. While my computer is not a top of the line system, it's no slouch. I tried playing with all graphics set to medium. The framerate was almost unbearable. Setting all graphics to low gave good framerates but the game looked almost as bad as DukeNukem 3D.

Also had significant graphics flaws. Had horrible banding running across my screen. Yes I have the latest drivers.

Opteron 142 OC'ed to an FX55
1800xt 512mb pci
2gb ram

Yeah, they are going to have to do some significant tweaking to make it playable on the majority of "gamer" computers out there. The aliasing drove me nuts, even when I had 2X anti-aliasing enabled. Low looks like crap, Medium looks pretty good but I only got 15-30 FPS. I'm not going to spend 5,000 on a bleeding edge computer in order to play their game the way it was meant to be played.

Bleh looks like IM going to have to upgrade the video card. Everything else is great. Just need to up the vcard

I believe that is with settings on HIGH without aa...or its with aa on 16xQ cant remember. It runs like crap with everything maxxed so what i did was set it to medium and turned AA to 16x. Runs somewhat smooth but it is still very laggy at points and that really pisses me off. Ill be posting more screen shots but I must say I cannot play the game very long on HIGH settings because lag is horrible.

PS..im going to be taking a picture of the sun rising...it is beautiful...<drools>
