Changing name in BF2

Hi guy's

I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change my Bf2 name without losing my stats. I would like to get rid of the AVS_ and just have Sparky 69. I remember someone talking about it before, and that it might be possible.

Hmm as far as I have heard it is not possible if you registerd with that perticualr name from the beggining. If you had added the prefix afterward, it shouldnt be a problem, but I guess you registerd with it, huh?

I don't think they have come up with a way to change your name without starting a new account. They added the prefix block so people could add clan tags. But unless something new has happened,

I think your stuck with it.

Thanks for the info guys. I thought I heard something about Gamespy and changing your account in the past. I'll keep searching and post back if I come up with any answers.
