Obviously this didn't happen yesterday, due to both lack of time on my end as well as me just not taking the forums offline because people were on them. Today when I DO get the opportunity, I'll be shutting them off to get this done.

i was going to post about this the other day:

every page has a maximum of 10 posts and a maximum of 1 ad. these ads are about 1" high X 6" long on a 21" monitor. i don't see how they can be considered obtrusive. most of the time i scroll right through a page without even noticing them.

I have noticed the ads, but I don't think they get in the way at all. The ones I have seen aren't any bigger than most of the signatures on the posts..
It's all good with me.

The only thing I don't like is they catch my eye. That's kinda what they're supposed to do, but when I'm skimming the page I end up scrolling back up because it looks like a post. But I'm not in that big of a hurry so it doesn't matter much to me.

They're set to show up at the end of each page of posts... Hvaing them up at the top was actually more annoying to me, as they were just there and I couldn't get them formatted all the way to the right of the header as I wanted.
Anyhow, look at it this way, an ad or 2 a day could end up paying for a server

Was that supposed to rhyme
First thing is that I have never seen them at the end of the posts, they have always been inside the thread. I found them much more appealing to my eyes when they were at the top of the page, not to mention I saw them with every page loaded as the first thing that I looked at.
When the ads were at the top of the page, they were not obtrusive and I was actually clicking on them. Inside the posts, I doubt I will ever click on them because all I do is recognize them as ads and skim straight over them, and in that is where the ad campaign is flawed. I know the reason we have ads is that there are not enough donations.
I wish I COULD continue to donate, however paypal has closed my personal account and in their terms, it states that I cannot create a new one.
edit: my point
