Changing the map to crap then leaving ..

Alrighty, I don't mind the odd map here and there, quite fun really, but come on, atleast ask the folks if they are interested in a map or do a map vote. Ash-Housewares popped on, changed us in a middle of a map, took us to rats, then left five rounds into it, despite just about every individual screaming 'this map sucks'.
I understand that admins are due some respect, it is ya'lls server, but pissin' on the players should be avoided as well IMO.

The problem is, everyone hates every map. We can't please people all of the time and if we changed maps everytime someone screamed it sucks, we'd never play the same map for more than 30 seconds. For instance, I hate westwood, but I'll play it even though I have the power to change it because I know some people like it. I continuously get negative scores on the map, so I jack around until it changes and hope to orc nade or chain lightning a few.

I don't have a problem trying out new maps or even playing some shitty ones - hate Westwood myself, but play it often enough. My problem is, coming in, changing the map without even a mild curtousey of asking if folks want something in particular or not, and then just ditching off for the night leaving the whole server going 'wtf'.

Someone did that about a month ago, changed maps every three minutes and went from about 30 players down to 7 inside of fifteen minutes until we all stopped on this big assed map with submarines which frankly was a bit huge considering we only had a quarter of the people by this time.

Play different maps. Hell I don't like half of them, but I play them, but if ya'll want respect from the players how about giving some as well with a simple heads up at the very minimum or hell if you want to be gracious, a map vote. Not asking for the world, but I don't play often really and I have to admit having just given up on the server a time or two when I plan on playing it out for some time after stuff like this goes on for half an hour/hour.

Anyhoo, my two cents worth of bitchin'.
