So I came into the server and i swore twice. I now know its against the rules, i cant really help it because its part of my rhetoric. I get kicked by kakashi, which is definitely reasonable. After that however, things got pretty lame. I come back into the server just talking about the swearing rule and discussing the merits of swearing. Its important to point out that I am not trying to get kakashi to bend the rules or anything, im just talking to him and koldfire about it. Welp aparrently from then and anytime after, anything I say at all, even if its not related to the server rules is "workin [kakashi's] last nerve"

Maybe its time to get some more nerves kakashi? I respect your rules, but being singled out, and then you use your admin powers to play on your grudge with me is kind of lame. The pubbies werent complaining either.

Now I think the worst of what i said to you was "how much you weigh?" and when you told me to drop it i did. So now you make up the rule that I can't talk at all? awesome.

I really like this server and i really like playing here, but dealing with that crap sandwich isnt worth it.

Why dont you cite me, because ive clearly, been banned from talking after joking around with the admin, he just said he didnt want to hear my voice.

When your on the internet, sarcasm doesn't come through too well. Understand that what you think is funny can easily come across as rude and disrespectful to another person. Text really isn't the place for sarcasm.

If it was across the mic (you said voice) I know that sometimes what I say doesn't come through in the right tone and can be taken amiss. And again, it's the internet. Lotta jerks out there. On top of that fact we've had a slew of hackers/stackers/cheaters and just plain ignorant people. So all the admins are rather touchy at the moment. It seems like our server as been a playground for the scum lately.

Kakashi is a great guy and admin. I only know half the testimony of said event but I'm willing to bet there was a misunderstanding.

So take a breather, come on back to the server and shoot it up with us again. Just remember to be careful what you say and how you say it.

I would be willing to bet that is exactly it Wylie. I know i was the first one to kick you for swearing after you were warned about it.

As admins we have to deal with a lot of crap. It takes away some of the fun of the game but it is worth it to make the whole experience better for everyone on the server. When someone gets on and starts harping on a subject like our swearing rules, even in jest, it gets old really fast. We always give warnings - unless you are a regular then you get kicked immediately - But sometimes it is easier to just boot the offender than deal with the sarcasm and distractions from the game.

Talking in voice chat is very annoying when you are trying to concentrate on the game.

As a rule if you are not dead, keep the chatter to game related issues only. If you want to just jabber go to spec or wait till you are dead. That will give you much less chance of ticking off an admin and getting kicked or worse.

Like Brift says. It is nothing personal. Lots of people get time off for things like this =)

We occasionally ban regulars for offenses of similar status. They are always welcome back and we are just as happy to kick or ban you again if it gets out of control. We only perma-ban people for cheating or gross misconduct.

Really, why do you guys [not admins the other people that whine about it.] care if you curse or not. Is it really that addicting? I mean personally i curse alot, but when i'm on their server i respect the rules, and if i forget, i take a warning and try not doing it again. It makes sense, i have a 8 year old cousin that plays CSS and he's actually grounded for cursing, and he learned it from CSS, which is stupid. If you get banned, don't do it again and you should be fine, right?

It is not like we give you a perma ban for swearing. It is kind of like getting sent to the corner. If you can't remember not to swear, we send you to the corner for a few minutes.
