T and I? I'd suggest a Nividia one for battlefield if that's the game you spend the most time on, otherwise it really doesn't matter what you get.

wait until the Nvidia 6600GT AGP card comes out. Should be ~$199 and in tests has shown to smoke a 9800 Pro

it'd be much easier for people to point u to a card if u said how much you were willing to spend.

the cheapest you can get that has T&L is the good ol nVidia GeForce Ti4200. its about 2 years old iirc, but my friend i still running modern games with it. that should go for 50-100$ now. if you want the best compromise between price and performance id suggest an ATI RADEON 9700 (go for pro if you want). that goes for 150$ now on pricewatch. if you want more power, then try getting an ATI RADEON 9800 (pro if needed). id actually recommend this one over the other 2, because it costs just a wee bit more but your gonna get a huge performance increase (especially if you opt for PRO with 256 mb of RAM, thats 220$ on pricewatch).

That's scare. THat's the card in my computer.
I'd strongly suggest you don't get an ATI for Battlefield. On BF:V it's all messed up and I'd assume it will be the same for BF:2. If your going to play flightsim, or business simulation games, than go for whatever you want. (Nvidia and ATI cards are quite similar)
What is T&L? I may pointing him in wrong direction because some Nvidia cards may not support it.

it stands for Transform and Lighting, but i dont know exactly what it is. its some kind of tech that was implemented into video cards just a few years ago, so that they could generate better images of some sort. maybe its the stuff of deforming terrain like in red faction (the transform part) and better light quality. i dont know, im not that much of a tech expert, i know a bit but not that much. what i can say though, is that in most modern games you need T&L, else the game wont run.

T&L used on the newer cards basically offloads changes to the environement, and lighting functions from the processor to the video card. Thus as you run through a level the change in what you are supposed to "perceive" in terms of rotation and such is handled by the chip on the vid card itself. Same with lighting of objects. Most cards released within the past... erm... 2 years I think supports it.
