My mic died tonight. I'm going to get another headset, but I have a question. I have two sound cards in my machine (on board and Sound Blaster). The on board is disabled. Is there anyway i can use the on board only for my headset and swap them when needed?

thats what i did, but i have a usb headset so that made it easier but yea I use my soundcard for everything else but my motherboard does sound for my mic

hmmm...well i installed my card and it auto disabled my onboard and my usb mic was already setup and I'm positive its using the mother board because on the "audigy" settings it doesn't show up....so I'm not sure how i set it up haha as sad as that is, but i went to control panel and made the "mic" section to use my usb instead of the audigy bla bla bla maybe thats the key?
