Another question from a friend.

Don't want to spam this forum, but I just have a lot of questions right now and I always get excellent advise. My friend loves Battlefield and his family lacks a computer to play it. (He has a Pentium 2 labtop, mom has a labtop for work, and his dad has one for work) He has his own desktop which is Windows 95.... Anyways, his dad saw this cool article for an iMacG5, and the reporter went on about how great it is... Sounded like a Mac sales person.. Anyways, if his dad does get it (it has all the multi media stuff he wants for a good price) and he gets the Mac version of BF42, can he play on the servers a PC user would play on? All the Ninja Servers, etc.

As far as i know the Mac users can play on Windows and Linux servers (not 100% sure). But he will not be able to install MOD's like FH or EOD. Unless the creators of the mod make a special Mac-installer. (This is why if have got the best of both worlds at home (a mac and a pc))

I think there is a team that creates mac installers for mods. I'm not sure, but I may have read somewhere that the team made a mac installer for some BF mod. I can't really remember, might have been for another game completely as far as I know

That's a huge downside. He plays as "applesauce" (on my computer of course) and he lives for EOD like me. The mods are what he loves....
