Ok try these things.

Go to start. click settings. click control panel.(Or however you get into it) click add/remove programs. scroll down in the list untill you come upon battlefield vietnam. Click add/remove. And try to remove it that way. If all else fails you can delete the main folder by going in windows explorer, but I would not advise it because you will still have false registry keys pointing to the folder that cannot be found. If all else fails just delete the whole folder like I am talking about in the previous sentence. If you end up deleting the whole folder make sure you also delete it in the recyle/trash bin. The main folder can probably be located at: C:\program files\ea games. Do not delete your battlefield 1942 folder if you have that game. The main folder will be "Battlefield Vietnam".

I would advise that you do not remove the registry keys manualy. You can probably download a program on the internet that will search for false reg keys and delete them. But if I was you, I would just leave them in there, because if you delete the wrongs ones it will be hell to pay. TRUST ME. I would probably just leave them in there, and if you reinstall again than they will probably be overwritten when you reinstall.

You might also try running the bfv uninstaller. If that is what you ran, than just forget about this idea, because you said you were missing files. Someone else might be able to post some more things that you can try, but I know deleting the whole folder will work. If you still need more help catch me on ts or post again in here.

in some cases if you delete the main BFV folder you also have to eliminate some registry keys.
just run regedit and put in search battlefield vietnam, it should come up with a few results even if you deleted the main folder. there are no windows keys called battlefield vietnam so you can delete all that you find
if you look for BFV as well, then be careful. usually the files you need to delete are in a folder called EA or battlefield vietnam, or something like that. if you find it in a windows system folder or some crap like that dont touch it by all means. tinkering around in the registry for the first time takes a bit of balls.
