Windows on multiple computers?
I've changed my computer recently and I have a question is it possible to install Windows XP pro on it even if I have already installed it on my old computer?

I don't believe so unless you have a new product key.

technically speaking it is legal as long as the other pc is not in use.. otherwise just use an activation crack and your good to go..

Not at the same time.. like I said as long as you have the other uninstalled or not in use.. you can switch your copy from one pc to another.. they will let you activate up to 3 times.. like shadow said.. Do you really think that MS would let you buy one copy for three pcs... lol

That is what I thought, I may have just read it wrong. I have installed my OS countless times, and the only time I have to call is when I have a major hardware change....then I am good to go after I call once.

no, im saying...you can have one cd for (i believe its actually 2 now that im thinking about it) 2 computers.
Its ment one for desktop, one for laptop...
now, just remember children, they have to be your personal pc's and not someone elses. because sharing is very very VERY bad.
oh yea, if you do the call-in for microsoft, tell em your upgrading and the other one isnt in use in the basement. clears all bases
