Okay, so lately I have been having this strange problem (for me at least) in almost every game I play (age of emipires III, black and white 2, bf2, and f.e.a.r..
I never had this problem before about a week ago, and I cant think of anything I did graphics wise. I have tried updating and using older drivers (my card is a nvidia 6600gt) but nothing helps.

Heres an example of what im talking about (not always this bad, and sometimes the specks are purple (the ground in bf2)).

Card overheating?

This is worth mentioning, my brother had the same card and it overheated too. Once we replaced the card, problems gone. Then again we also got a cooler processor (AMD X2 over an Intel 5xx processor) and new mobo.

looks like vid card overheating to me too try taking it out and blowing dust out of it

I just opened the side and put a big ass fan blowing into it (I havent actually tried yet to see if it works but thanks).

edit: come to think of it...I did recently move my case under my desk, I guess it could be getting less air flow down there..
