Has anyone been getting kicked from BF2 for a wrong version error. I get this about every other map and have to go back in the server. any fix? I have installed patch 1.03. this is a fresh install and i had the same problem with the previous install too.

Try heading over to www.evenbalance.com and updating your Punkbuster files manually. Just download the pbweb.exe file from their site and save it to your PB folder under your BF2 folders. Then run that .exe.

I updated punkbuster as suggested and still get kicked about every 4 or 5 maps. but i mispoke what the error was. I am getting an error that my version is modified and the server only allows unmodified versions to run. I ran the 1.03 patch by itself, didnt do 1 or 2 first is that a problem i didnt think you had to run the first two patches.

i really don't know if u have to install the other patches. try installng them and then run 1.03 again and see what happens.

try reinstalling the game and install the patches in sequential order.
