I screwed the pooch.

I had a brain fart the other night. I decided to reformat my hard drive. After reinstalling everything from scratch my BF1942 FPS is now crap. It ranges between 50-70. No idea why.

I restored all my in-game video settings and did the following in VideoDefault.con and I still see no improvement:

renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1
renderer.lockfps 999
renderer.useTrilinearFiltering 1
renderer.mipmapbias -5

The VGA is an nVidia Geforce4 Ti 4800. Yes it's dated but it did 100 FPS easily. I even recall FPS went higher once lockfps was increased.

Prior to the reinstall I set my motherboard BIOS settings to Factory Default. This was probably brain fart #2. I've looked around but see nothing out of the ordinary that would enhance BF FPS on an AGP 8X VGA.

Anyone still have a BF1942 video tweak guide sitting around? Any additional help (BIOS settings, etc.) would be appreciated. The video is so bad it's unplayeable IMO.

Nevermind. It was brain fart #2. FSB is 333 and the default CMOS setting for CPU External Frequency was 100.
