www.bootdisk.com. Create a bootdisk for the operating system you have. There are several there to choose from. You may need to try a couple of them to find the one that works depending how messed up your PC is. The wininet.dll resides in C:\WINDOWS\system32 or C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386. On my PC I have two of them. One is a little bigger than the other. Try the one in C:\WINDOWS\system32 first. Copy this dll from your other working computer to the boot disk you created or if there is not enough room copy to another formated floppy disk. Boot your PC with the boot disk, copy and paste the dll from the boot disk, at the command prompt key in "copy a:\ wininet.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32" without the quotes. If there is not enough room on the boot disk for the dll, boot with the boot disk and once the pc is at the command prompt change the floppy disk to the one with the dll on it and then use the DOS command to copy the dll to system32 folder. Remove the floppy disks and reboot your pc.
