loading probs

ive been loading slowly lately. i used to get in with 30+ seconds left, now most the time i am late by a few seconds, but every once in a while i am early. i have 1.5gb pc-4200. that should be enough to get me in early right? i defragged last week. would turning my virtual memory off help at all? i cant think of why its slow.

if your talking about loading into bf2, then i wouldnt be too concerned the latest patch has messed up alot of things for alot of people.. they are supposed to be releasing a 'hotfix' so to speak.... soon.. that may correct your problem..

did u change video settings lately? if so, change them back. also, delete the shader files in your shader caches.

My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache > all files in every cache directory. you'll know you're in the right place when u see a ton of file names that start with "rashader". delete them all, it won't hurt anything.

I get the same loading problem. It's sometimes fine and others I get in late too. I think it's because of the latest patch.

another thing that doesnt have to do with the patch or loading but my joystick whenever i have the Twist set up to turn, when im taking off a runway the jet turns to the left (just like your remote control car when the wheel alignment is off) but it only happens on the ground, not in the air. i thought at first i might be twisting it without noticing but i didnt touch it one of the times and it still happened. i was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.
