my new 19" monitor
OK. I got this viewsonic GS790 19" monitor from my wifes' parents church in exchange for a 15". The 19 looks pretty good except for down in the right hand corner, on a white screen it looks like it gets a little darker. also, when i play CS:S when I get into darker areas it almost has a greenish tint to it. I guess what I'm asking is. Is there a way to mess with some settings on the monitor as there aer a couple things on the OSD that I have never heard of (ie H/V moire, viewmeter, veiwmatch color, input level ect)
Also I thought my old monitor was crappin out on me because the screen would shake ever so slightly, but it does it with this one too.
any suggestions

1 the shaking is rubberbanding - you gotta check the temps on your card/chipset.
2nd, yea, a good monitor should have a whole list of settings. dunno about the green, but nvidia has a great monitor config utility..
just spent 15mins looking for the utility..no luck - if you find it, post it here (used to be in the nvidia monitor settings page)

I could be wrong, (and I am sure I will here about it if I am) but the odd color on the screen can be caused by having a speaker too close to the monitor. I had my speaker up by the monitor when I first got it and seen the discoloration in the corner. Moved the speaker, problem was solved

nope, you're right Big Daddy. strong magnetic fields can distort a monitor, especially in cheap monitors that don't have good shielding.
on a related note: my monitor goes nuts when my cell phone rings if it's near it. the whole screen shakes.
