doesn't windows media player decode it? what are you trying to watch or listen to?

trying to set up a cinematic slide show. system keeps showing no mpeg 2. everywhere i have looked on windows shows media player 10 does not have mpeg 2. you have to get a plugin

You can install that or just go and install a trial version of any dvd software (WinDVD, PowerDVD, etc).

I am not sure if this is what you need, but I have a program called VLC Media Player and it has played every single video clip I have tried with it. I forget where I downloaded it, you could probably do a search for it on Google or maybe Download.com.

Indeed one of the best
