Install on another partition...

For example. i have two hdd with various partitions.

My XP is C:\

My Vista is Z:\

I chose to custom install on the vista when the option for location of install arrived, chose my partition and away I went.

When I boot up now it give's me the option of and I quote: "previous version of windows"< ( XP ) or "microsoft windows" < ( Vista )

I used Partition Magic to create a new partition. Then when you insert the disc to install windows vista, when vista install askes you which partition to use, selection the new one that you just made. (or do what ViewSTAT said)
