Upgrade help

I want to finally get out of the stone age and get a DVD burner. I hadn't really any use for one but since they're cheaper and my 4X CD burner is no longer in this system I thought I'd get one. What should I get? I have a Sony NS400D DVD player so I want something compatible with that, and also a good normal CD burner. My case is black so I'd prefer it to be black as well. Any suggestions within a reasonable price range? Also, I found a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz card for $33 OEM on newegg (which is only where I shop), should I get the OEM or retail card? Or does it not really matter. I have on-board sound now and yes it sucks. I only have a 2.1 setup and don't intend to upgrade to anything more since I already have a normal home theater. I do have digital speakers and I miss the digital sound. Thanks for the help.

Here's the soundcard I was thinking of:

Burner

Is OEM bad? I know it's bulk but should I just spend the extra money and get a retail or doesn't it really matter? I can get an extended warranty on both OEM's for only $5.

Hmm Horse told there's an issue with the Santa Cruz where there is wav bleed using a mic. So if you talk people can hear your game sounds. I cancelled my order real quick until I find out more. I wouldn't mind getting that Creative, but I'm on a limited budget.

I have a black case too but unfortunately at the time I bought my DVD RW all they had was beige, but I do have a door that closes so you can't see the ugly color.

No complaints with this burner. Seems to be pretty fast and super quiet. Came with some free burning software as well, but I think they stopped with that.

I would recommend my sound card, but recently it's been having issues so now I won't recommend it.

It's ok when using speakers but for playing Farcry with headphones my sound dissapears completely. Creative wasn't much help finding a solution either, but all in all it's a fairly good card. Just don't install all of the extra junk creative ships with it. So there is a possibility of my sound dissapearing in other games but that might just be my computer, god knows what else is wrong with this beast. It's cheap, some good software, pretty decent sound depending on your speaker arrangements, and uhhh it comes in a nice box?

Yeah well those are expensive, and I don't really need wireless since it doesn't move. I only got this one because it was $1 more than the just the same Kb alone. Some special sale today.
