[Drayu]

If you edit your air.con or land.con with a saitek joystick, follow these directions for it to work. These are for my air.con fix for the x45, but they can be applied to any saitek stick and any .con file. ANy probs, let me know I will try to help you.

BF1942 v1.6 Fix for x45
OK folks. This is mine. I am working off a clean install of all of bf1942. After I did I clean install: (BTW, you only have to do this once, so don't complain about the steps if you want it to work)

1. Go into bf 1942 and set up a profile.
2. Set any sound, video, infantry, vehicle, etc settings you like, leave the air tab alone.
3. Just jump into a single player game and then quit it.
4. Exit out of the game.
5. Navigate to where you have battlefield installed and go to the folder (where mine says Drayu should be your profile name): C:\Games\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\Profiles\Drayu\Controls
6. Left click the air.con file and mark it as "read-only" by right clicking and then choosing properties and then "read-only"
7. Exit out of that folder and load up bf1942.
8. Make a game and then once loaded quit and exit out of bf1942. This will create a new folder in your "my documents"
9. go to the folder(where mine says Drayu should be your profile name): C:\Documents and Settings\Drayu\My Documents\Battlefield 1942\mods\BF1942\Settings\Profiles\Drayu\Controls
10. Copy the air.con into that folder and then you MUST mark it also as "read only" by right clicking and then choosing properties and then "read-only"
11. Load up my .dat file and then start bf1942 and everything should be working fine.(BTW, in case you are wondering, this is the one step you have to repeat if you restart your computer , nothing else needs to be done again!)
